Petrovac - today a seaside resort and popular tourist destination
with modern multi-storey hotels and a 600m long sandy beach. At the
northern end of the bay, on a natural, wide rock pier, lies the
Venetian fortress "Kastel Lastva" from the 16th century, built for
protection against pirates. At the head of the breakwater there is
a depth of about 1.8m on the south side and behind it is a tiny
harbour basin. In calm weather you can moor here. On the pier are
several restaurants and bars, the supermarket is in the center of
the village near the park and there is also currently a vegetable
stand.
