The road bascule bridge at the Oste barrage is basically the whole year for navigation open. This is deviated from:

From 01 October to 31 March
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, the bridge control station is staffed from 10:00 to 17:00.
The opening of the bridge takes place immediately after registration via "Oste-Bridge", VHF channel 69 (16) or Tel. +49 4753 84 49 10.
Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the bridge control station is not manned.
The opening of the bridge takes place approx. 60 minutes after registration via "Elbe Traffic", VHF channel 71 (16) or Tel. +49 4721 56 73 83.

From 01 April to 30 September
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday the bridge control station is manned from 10:00 to 17:00.
Saturday, Sunday the bridge control station is manned from 10:00 to 18:00.
The opening of the bridge takes place immediately after registration via "Oste-Bridge".

All year
On Mondays and Fridays there may be closures of the bridge due to operational work on the Oste barrage. In this case, the opening of the bridge will take place immediately after registration via "Oste-Bridge", VHF channel 69 (16) or tel. +49 4753 8449 10.
