Description

Fishing and recreational boat harbor with guest areas

NV Cruising Guide

Navigation

The fairway to the harbor is not lighted, so you should have local knowledge if you want to enter here in the dark. To the north and west of the harbor there are some skerries with offshore rocks with surf. You should therefore consult the nautical chart carefully.

Berths

You are moored at the sheltered guest moorings in front of the stern anchor. The harbor basin is small, so out of consideration for the fishermen, long anchor lines should be avoided if possible. Mooring at the fishing boats is also possible by prior arrangement. The water depth at the guest moorings is 2 - 3.2 m, here you have very good protection from wind from all directions, the wind protection in northerly winds is no longer as good, but still acceptable.

Surroundings

Ramsö has been inhabited since the 15th century. Fishing and farming were the main sources of income. Today you will find almost only summer visitors here. Ramsö is surrounded by magnificent nature. The well-protected harbor is very popular, so it can get quite crowded here in the summer months. Boat connections to the other Koster islands and Strömstadt.
